If Only There Were a Citgo Station Nearby...And I Had a Car

So now the wingnuts want to boycott Citgo because it's owned by Venezuela. All of the dumbest, meanest, unhingiest, batshit craziest bloggers are on board. They want revenge.

Because Hugo Chavez said mean things about Bush.

Whiny. Ass. Titty. Babies.

Seriously--is there anything more pathetically, childishly insecure than threatening retaliation against some other country because they called your president names?

Of course, this isn't the first time these people have turned to the boycott to avenge some perceived slight against American honor. In the last few years, we've seen the nuttier folks on the right use some supposed insult to push boycotts of France, Germany, and Mexico. They seem extremely worried that the most powerful nation on the planet might just get its feelings hurt.

Just between you and me, I don't think Venezuela has too much to worry about. Last I heard, Germany was still in business.
