TAKEN TO ITS LOGICAL CONCLUSION

David Brooks in today's New York Times:

It is no accident that the major candidates in the Republican field are a pastor, a businessman and a war hero. These are the three most evocative Republican leadership models. Nor is it an accident that the Democratic race is a clash between a daughter of the feminist movement, a beneficiary of the civil rights movement and a self-styled proletarian. These are powerful Democratic categories.

Hmmm, let's see: the preferred Republican candidate in the last two presidential elections was a spoiled-brat trust-fund alcoholic war avoider who has an overinflated sense of his own self-worth, despite the fact that he has no positive achievements whatsoever to show for decades on this earth. What about that? Is that also an "evocative Republican leadership model"? Is that a "powerful Republican category"?
