IT WOULD BE SO WRONG

It would just be so wrong for people on our side to monkey with this process -- wouldn't it?

The Republican National Committee today will unveil a web site, www.gopplatform2008.com, that will allow individuals to log on and share their suggestions and opinions on what should be included in the party's platform....

Starting Friday, an individual can log on to the site and upload their written comments or video comments....

Republican officials say they hope this site will be a 24/7 town hall where people can look at other submissions on the site and share their views without ever leaving their home....

Yes it would definitely be wrong.

On the other hand, Rush Limbaugh is recommending that right-wingers monkey with the Democratic platform:

Rush Limbaugh, opening the second phase of his "Operation Chaos" campaign to make mischief within the Democratic Party, called on his millions of listeners Wednesday to take part in the Sen. Barack Obama campaign’s effort to democratize the party platform.

...Limbaugh ... urged his audience to attend open meetings at which the Democratic platform will be discussed.

... This week, the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee announced plans to hold meetings in all 50 states to get voters involved in planning the document which details the principles, philosophies and goals of the party.

..."In coming days, we will tell you exactly how you can participate in writing the Democrat party platform, at the request of the Most Merciful Lord Barack Obama." ...

So if you feel you must, you can register to make recommendations for the Republican platform (and, presumably, get yourself on multiple GOP contact lists for the rest of your life) here. Even though it's wrong.
