A NEW WORD ENTERS THE LANGUAGE

Um, I don't think Sarah Palin is misusing the word "verbiage" in the clip below from her upcoming Sean Hannity interview....

It was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use....

I think she's defending McCain's "verbage" -- no "i." To the best of my knowledge, "verbage" isn't even a word.

Watch:

Yup, it's "verbage." Twice.

UPDATE: Well, Urban Dictionary has "verbage," referring to either word misuse or bad T-shirt slogans, but it seems to be a deliberately fake Andy Bernard-style word, like "tuneage" for "music." I don't think that's what Palin had in mind....

UPDATE: In comments, phleabo notes that "verbage" does show up in the OED, with one citation from 1787.
