SOCIALISM!

Which governor just posted this announcement trumpeting a big-government socialist wealth-redistributing program, paid for by the tax dollars of hard-working individuals?

...I was proud last year to sign into law the $360 million expansion of the state Weatherization and Energy Rebate programs... Last summer, when the price of home heating fuel escalated through the roof, the state was already busy helping thousands of families reduce home heating bills. AHFC works closely with other state and federal government agencies, non-profit organizations and the private sector to implement the public services provided under these programs.

The Weatherization Program provides free energy-efficient housing modification upgrades for moderate- to low-income families....

Prior to the weatherization program's expansion last year, an average of 600 homes per year received weatherization services. This year, that number will triple to 1,800, which represents approximately 2,000 jobs and an economic impact of $31 million spread out over 56 communities. Next year, 4,000 homes are expected to be weatherized, representing as many as 2,500 jobs and an economic impact of $60 million reaching 90 communities....

Um, it's Sarah Palin. (Link is a PDF.)

And somebody phone Michael Steele -- apparently, according to his party's last VP candidate, government does create jobs....
