TRUMP JUST GETS MORE AND MORE BRILLIANTLY EVIL

I hate the sonofabitch, but Trump is starting to look like the most talented (and thus dangerous) demagogue in America:

Trump: Obama's Grandparents Put In The Birth Announcement To Get Benefits Like Welfare

Donald Trump has an explanation for why President Obama's birth would be announced in a Hawaii newspaper if he wasn't really born in the United States: His grandparents put it in as a ruse to make people think he was a U.S. citizen, "for hospitalization, for welfare, for this, for that, for all of the other assets you get from being a United States citizen." ...

Wow: welfare. Obviously, it's hard to overstate how repellent that is. But it's showing me that Trump is just brilliant at hate-filled, divisive, coded demagoguery. He slipped the word in so ubtly, and yet so pointedly. He's working changes on birtherism.

No, this isn't admiration. It's fear that this guy who was born on third base and thinks he hits a triple every time he sneezes actually isn't a no-talent, and actually isn't just working this line of argument for a temporary TV ratings boost -- he has the skills to spread real hate, and the intention of doing so.

The evil genius here might be Roger Stone, the veteran GOP saboteur who's been talking up Trump for a while. Trump now says Stone doesn't speak for him and isn't a campaign adviser, but I don't believe the latter. As for the former, I wonder if the reality is that Trump speaks for Roger Stone.
