A LONG LIST OF REPUBLICAN RIDERS OF CANADIAN BUSES

If you weren't aware of the hypocrisy, you'd think the New York Post had a pretty good gotcha here:

President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost US jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The Post has learned.

The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.

It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line....

However:

As President Barack Obama traveled to the first of two "town hall" stops in western Illinois today, top national and state Republicans criticized his campaign-style visit and criticized his use of a taxpayer-funded Canadian-manufactured bus as part of a jobs tour.

But no mention was made by Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus or Illinois GOP Chairman Pat Brady that a re-election seeking President George W. Bush used a bus from the same manufacturer, Quebec-based Prevost, for a spring 2004 "Yes, America Can" campaign tour through the Midwest....

Which is true.

(John Kerry also rode a Prevost until he switched to an American bus.)

And Google news tells me that Jeb Bush, campaigning for governor in 1998, also rode a luxury Prevost bus:

(Story here.)

Oh, and Michele Bachmann? Ridin' a Prevost, too, back in June:

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann closed out the first week of her fight to garner the GOP nomination travelling through Iowa on an H3-45 Prevost tour bus....

Why do they all hate America?

****

UPDATE: In 2004, The Washimgton Post reported that Clarence Thomas was in the habit of traveling the country in a Prevost RV.
