ANYONE ELSE CREEPED OUT BY...

... this?

I know what he's trying to say, but if I were suspected of covering up the specific kinds of activities this guy covered up, I think I'd avoid the phrase "whose you are." Wouldn't you?

Heh. Yeah, that phrasing is inviting for all kinds of tasty digs, especially if we go back a bit historically. I'm thinking in particular of the hierarchy's (at best) ambiguous position on slavery until, at the earliest, 1890.

Cardinal Dolan to altar boy:
"Be sure to know who you are and whose you are.
And is you is, or is you ain't, still my baby?"

Or, is that directed at women, to remind them that they belong to men, and must be loyal to whomever is their better, and their master?

Well, on the plus side - maybe if the whole Catholic Church takes this this up, it will lower the rate of child-feckery.

Better these ancient perverts diddle with the keyboard on a cell phone or computer, than diddle the genitals and orifices of a boy.
