I pulled the post titled "A Well-Informed Public." I got my facts wrong. I'll try to do better from now on.

Even Homer nods, as they say. You get points for standing down, and bonus points for acknowledging the error rather than dropping the whole piece down the memory hole (as Rod Dreher did with his infamous "tramp stamp bride" column, which apparently he now never wrote).

That's a joke, right?

I appreciate the heads up. But what was the problem? I remember the article being just a number of people blaming the Chattanooga shootings on the Iran nuclear deal. That certainly seems to have been correct.

I thought an ISIS-linked Twitter account telegraphed the shooting in advance, but it was a time-zone misreading of the time stamp -- the tweet came quite a bit later. I got the misinformation from Heavy.com, but Fox was spreading it.

I thought that was interesting that I hadn't seen any coverage of the ISIS link. But the main thing I took from the article was all the twitter complaining about the Iran deal. I linked to it from an article coming out in a day or two. So I changed the link, but yours was nice to have because it had so many great examples.

Anyway, timezones are terrible. That's a very understandable error. Death to timezones!
